  ]]> http://stevenspark.org/149/feed 0 Stevens Park Estates Conservation District http://stevenspark.org/112 http://stevenspark.org/112#comments Mon, 26 Sep 2011 03:50:57 +0000 spena http://stevenspark.org/?p=112 The Dallas City Council approved the Stevens Park Estates Conservation District plan on September 28, 2011.  The Conservation District includes a sub-district for properties on Plymouth Road, and also includes the Christian Science Church and Annie Stevens Park – click here for a copy.   Many committed neighbors have spent close to 7 years working on this CD that was approved by 76% of the neighbors who returned ballots to the City in a June of 2011 vote.  This has been a long process and the CD Committee wanted to thank everyone who helped work on this over the years.

]]> http://stevenspark.org/112/feed 0 Water & Wastewater Easement Project http://stevenspark.org/98 http://stevenspark.org/98#comments Wed, 13 Jul 2011 03:49:05 +0000 admin http://stevenspark.org/?p=98 The City of Dallas began work in early July to replace the water and wastewater lines on the easement between Mayflower Drive and Plymouth Road, between North Oak Cliff Boulevard and Colorado Boulevard.  Though the project will largely impact the residents adjacent to the easement, portions of the streets in this vicinity may be closed for short periods of time during the construction.  The project is slated to be completed by the end of Fall 2011.  For more information on the project, click here to download the notice from the City of Dallas.

]]> http://stevenspark.org/98/feed 0 Stevens Park Golf Course Reopening http://stevenspark.org/69 http://stevenspark.org/69#comments Fri, 06 May 2011 19:31:53 +0000 admin http://stevenspark.dreamhosters.com/?p=69 After almost a year of renovations, the Steven’s Park Golf Course officially re-opened on October 8, 2011.  Renovations include the rerouting of 14 of the 18 holes, the replanting of all greens, tee boxes and fairways, and the addition of about 250 yards in length, bringing it to a total of 6,300 yards!  The renovation also included much needed erosion control measures to Coombs Creek. The amount of the check SPENA receives then depends on the amount of total grocery purchases. Many neighbors have already done this (for which we’re sincerely thankful!) and because of that SPENA received over $200 from Tom Thumb in 2010! This is a wonderfully easy way to support SPENA.
